Hydrography: glacial lakes (Hridsko, Visitorsko, Ropojansko, Tatarijsko, Bjelajsko, pond at the Vizier's beard, a small lake Treskavac, Koljindarsko etc.), large and small streams, springs and mineral drinking water, rivers, underground aquifers and mountain ponds .
Hridsko Ridsko lake:
Climate: continental, mountain and subalpine. Winters are very harsh and long, and summers are short and fresh. Mean annual air temperature of 2-7 ° C. Maximum rainfall takes place in late autumn and the first part of the winter. Snow cover has an average thickness of 15cm and reserves of 90 - 210 days.
Relief is indented with numerous peaks, gorges, steep slopes, river valleys, alpine type and other natural phenomena. Among these, the following zones: Karanfilsko-Bjelički (most rugged part of the area, with numerous peaks over 2,000 meters above sea level);Visitorsko; Zone Bogićevica; Zona Bora and Kofiljaće; Elderly Zavojska zone.
Prokletije National Park has the surface of 16 630 ha and the altitude of 2 000 m. It holds the status of National Park since 2009. It includes the territory of Plav municipality. Prokletije are characterized by limestone relief and dolomite composition of rocks. It is abundant with extremely high and sharp peaks and very steep slopes. In the park’s territory, over 1 700 species of plants have been registered, this represents ½ of Montenegrin flora, or about 1/5 of total Balkan flora. In the Prokletije area, around 161 kinds of birds were reported and around 60 endemic insects have been registered and about 130 daily butterflies.
