Plužine

Plužine, Montenegro’s youngest town, sits on the shores of Piva Lake. Plužine is located in northern Montenegro, close to the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina. New Plužine was built in its current location in 1975 after the construction of the Piva Hydro Power Plant and Reservoir submerged the Old Town.

Today, Plužine is surrounded by natural beauty, including the peaks of Durmitor, Volujak, and Ledenica. Such proximity to nature creates a unique feeling. Local attractions include Piva Lake, the Piva River, and Piva Monastery.
