Get a feel for Montenegro’s Adriatic coast and discover what lays within the15th-century Venetian walls of Budva. Travel to Cetinje, the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro nestled beneath Mount Lovćen. Due to the abundance of historic museums, churches, monasteries, buildings, and relics, it has been nicknamed “museum city”. Explore the traditional village of Njeguši, the birthplace of the Petrović dynasty of Montenegrin rulers. Stop at 134-year-old restaurant Kod Pera na Bukovicu to discover the tradition of artisanal smoked ham, cheese, and rakija (grape brandy). The journey back to Kotor passes a 19th-century road and 25 serpentines with breathtaking views of Boka Bay. Upon arrival in Kotor, enjoy a final historic walking tour through the UNESCO-protected Old Town and uncover traces of past epochs.
